RECRUITMENT: This committee is paramount. During the off-season we
must organize our efforts to get out more bodies. Recruitment will create
signage and assign people to particular geographic areas around town. Those
people will hang up signs in pubs, gyms, supermarkets, etc. in their areas.
They will also organize other activities, such as a pub crawl.
- The committee will also price ad space in the Eugene Weekly, Springfield
News, and Register Guard, including classified space. They will then present
proposals to local businesses in conjunction with the Fundraising Committee.
They will have the business pay for the ad space with the add reading:
"[BUSINESS] IS A PROUD SPONSOR OF EUGENE RUGBY CLUB. PLAY RUGBY.
- Short-term goal: more people for the second side.
- Long term goal: possibly jumping up to Div. 2 after one full year of 30+
players.

scored, and when. By whatever process deemed appropriate by the Chair, the PR
committee will develop a one page Press Release. The Committee will email and
fax (and call-in when appropriate) to all news agencies.
